Liverpool (@1.15) vs Newcastle (@21.0)

Our Prediction:

Liverpool will win

Liverpool – Newcastle Match Prediction | 15-09-2019 07:30

Following a thrilling 1-0 win over Spurs in London, Steve Bruces men shared the spoils with Watford in their last league match, but given Liverpools form at the start of the season, the visitors are unlikely to grab something from Saturdays football game. Newcastle United, on the other hand, have been showing signs of improvement of late.

They have won all 4 games they played in the Premier League with a 12:3 goal difference. My opinion is that we can expect a high scoring game in this one. They are scoring an amazing average of 3 goals per game driven by their SBS attacking trio. They have opened their checkbook and brought in Joelinton for 45 million euros. Historically they do not have trouble defeating them. Both teams are looking to secure as good as possible results in this game hoping to achieve their season goals. They have 4 points after a surprising but very well deserved victory against Tottenham away from home. Newcastle have signed a new manager this summer when Steve Bruce replaced Benitez. Liverpool is in an excellent form this season. Liverpool won the last 3 fixtures against Newcastle.

Correct Score Prediction: Newcastle 1-3 Liverpool

Newcastles fiercest rivals are Sunderland and there have always been fireworks when the two local rivals face each other in the Tyne-Wear derby. The color of Newcastles home kit is black and white. David Ginola, Michael Owen, Alan Shearer, Les Ferdinand, Nolberto Solano, Gary Speed, Obafemi Martins and Kevin Nolan are notable footballers who are still remembered at the club.

I do not see them getting anything for this game but we could expect them to attack from the counter-attacks and to exploit those very few mistakes that Liverpool makes during the game. Nevertheless, their results are okay and they will try to fight to avoid relegation. Newcastle are still in a limb with the club owner Ashley trying to sell the club. For this game they will be missing 6 players, the most important ones being Ritchie and Lejeune.

Henderson started his football career playing for Sunderland. Jordan Henderson is an English football player born on the 17th of June 1990 in Sunderland. Henderson is one of the starting eleven of England as well where he made his debut in November 2010. After a loan period where he played for Coventry City Henderson got transferred to Liverpool for approximately 18 million euro.

Newcastle United vs Liverpool Head-to-Head Stats

Because of his vision Henderson got chosen as the captain of Liverpool after Steven Gerrard left the club. He played for England during EURO 2012 and the World Cup 2014.Henderson is a centre/defensive midfielder which is known for his stamina and great tackling. Henderson didnt win any individual prizes yet but can be considered as one of the best players in his position.

With Almiron and Perez out, a lot of pressure is going to be placed upon the burly shoulders of Salomon Rondon up front. He wont get to go forward as much against these visitors, but he still has the quality to pick a pass to split them open. Matt Ritchie is another man that can unlock Liverpool, whether its in open play or on set pieces. The Venezuelan has looked much improved since Almirons arrival and Perezs uptick in form, but hes still going to be a threat given his aerial prowess against a Reds back line that will be a little tired.

The Reds will come into this with the second best away record in the Prem so far this season, on 41 points and only behind City on goal difference. They have drawn five times, potentially title costing, but they have rattled off three wins in a row ahead of this away trip. They have 12 wins and one single loss, to City, their only loss of the season, showing just how composed they have been on their travels to hostile ground.

This is going to be one of the Reds' toughest fixtures of the season. To say this will be tough, then, is a massive understatement. Expert Verdict: Liverpool will travel to Newcastle, a place that has not been very kind of them of late, and they will do so with a European tie with Barcelona sandwiching the match. With that said, the Magpies don't have all that much to play for and the visitors are still hoping for a shot at Premier League glory. In the end, that wins out and they do here, too. Make no bones about it.

They have four wins from their last five matches there, showing that they have picked up the pace at exactly the correct time. The Magpies have a middling home record this term, having taken 25 points from 18 outings at St. James. They have eight wins, a draw, and nine losses, which might not seem so great, but they have really racked up the points here of late at home to keep them safe.

Liverpool will start the next to last fixture in second place in the league with 91 points. They trail leaders Manchester City, the defending champions, by a single point, but they will need help from City, as well as two wins, in order to get past them. With that said, they have rattled off win after win in the Prem of late and are in excellent form, regardless of how they did in Europe. They have not so small distraction of Barcelona in Europe in there as well, so some form of juggling will be needed.

Predicted Newcastle team vs Liverpool

Carroll, who arrived back to St. James Park injured, has only just started light training and will therefore not be involved. Winger Allan Saint-Maximin and defenders DeAndre Yedlin and Florian Lejeune are also out. Bruce revealed that the injury of forward Dwight Gayle, who was often the whip of Liverpool in his career, isnt getting any better and it has become a big worry for the Newcastle medical team. Wide man Matt Ritchie is also out with an ankle problem.

Adrian will keep his place in goal as Alisson continues to recover from the calf injury he suffered on the opening day of the season that is likely to rule him out for another month at least. Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is hopeful midfielder Keita (hip/groin) will return to training next week. Alisson Becker and Naby Keita will again be sidelined for Liverpools Premier League clash with Newcastle.
